Skate Saskatchewan is offering grants to encourage CanSkate Coach candidates to complete their certification and continue to coach in Saskatchewan.
Individuals may apply for a grant of $200 upon receiving Certified CanSkate Coach Status.
Applications must be received within 90 days of the competition.

- must be a registered Saskatchewan Skate Canada Coach in good standing
Skate Saskatchewan is offering grants ro encourage Regional Coach candidates to complete their certification and continue to coach in Saskatchewan.
Individuals may applu for a grant of $300 upon receiving Certified Regional Coach status. Applications must be received within 90 days of completion.
Eligibility:
- must be a registered Saskatchewan Skate Canada Coach in good standing.
Purpose:
To improve the opportunity for Coaches residing in Saskatchewan to develop and improve their coaching skills through selected upgrading experiences. Coaches involved any discipline are encouraged to apply.
Criteria:
- Projects will be considered from April 1st - March 15th of the current year
- Registered Skate Canada Member Coach in Saskatchewan
- Minimum Regional Coach Certified
- Be actively coaching in an affiliated Saskatchewan club/skating school on a regular basis
- Reside in the province of Saskatchewan
- Present original receipts to the Coach Development Committee upon completition of the project
- Disclose any financial assistance received from other sources (club/skating school, regional, MAP Grant, etc.)
Application/Follow Up:
- Only requested reimbursement for actual expenditures (no pre diems - reimbursement will capped at the current Skate Saskatchewan rate)
- Financial assistance from other sources will be verified
- Applications must contain written docuemtnation to verify critera and original receipts
- Incomplete or late applications will not be considered
- Application deadlines:
- Projectes April 1st - September 1st: Deadline September 30th
- Projects September 2nd - March 15th : Deadline March 31st
- A follow-up report must contain the following information
- Details of the activity or event (dates, locations, etc.)
- How this event contributed to the learning objectives outlined in the application
- A financial report detailing all revenues and expenditures inclduing copies of all receipts
Selected Experienses include:
- National seminars
- Coaching Associaiton National seminars
- Provincial Coach Courses or higher
- Any recognized seminar in coaching or coaching related fields (i.e. dance or choreography seminars, Regional, Provinical or Natinal seminars or Officials' seminars, etc.)
Only complete application / follow ups will be accepted for consideration. Incomplete or late application / follow ups will not be considered and will be returned.
